Business Finance for Pig Farming in Russia

Russia Business News shows that Idavang A/S (“the Company”, previously named “Danish Lithuanian Holding A/S”) is a Danish holding company that has pig and crop farms in Russia and pig farms in Lithuanian. The Project, located in Russia, is meant to: (i) build a green field pig farm in Pskov region; (ii) develop another pig farm in northwest region; (iii) complete the expansion of the pig farm in Leningrad region; and (iv) develop crop farms in Pskov and Leningrad regions. The total finance required is about EUR86.5 million. The Project is implemented in 2009-2014 and will increase production capacity by 6,450 sows and 185,000 finishers

The project sponsors are the ultimate shareholders of the Company: Ole B. Hansen (50%), Carsten Thomsen (33%) and Claus Baltsersen (17%), all Danish farmers. The shareholders hold their shares through their respective private holding companies: Tofthøj Agro A/S in Denmark, Asket A/S in Denmark, and Sommerset Holding Limited in Cyprus.

Total Corporate Finance required is estimated at EUR86.5 million and Hindmarsh LLC t/as Hindmarsh Finance proposed an IFC implication in equity of up to EUR16.8 million.
